This album features Jack Du Mez on vocals and guitar and Shawn Turner on bass and lead acoustic guitar. The album employs a variety of textured guitar sounds from straight folk finger-picking to digitally altered acoustic riffs. Includes a studio-produced version of "Bit by Bit" created with Ken Valentine. Live at Lena's is an example of the collaborative energy behind much urban grassroots folk music. A great live, solo album.
"This is early material which reflects my work as a minister and counselor with court adjudicated teenage boys (commonly called "juvenile delinquents"). It tells the stories of characters I met during my time living in Milwaukee, Albany, Chicago, and Seattle. It was a fun CD to create because it was recorded in one of my favorite venues in New York - Caffe Lena." |
